				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As part of Project <a href="http://www.imagine-action.ca/">Imagine-action</a>, students in the Grade 3/4 class had been learning about Human Rights. They got a chance to explore this important concept and then they created posters for the school about human rights and how we can all be better human beings. As a culmination project, they created powerpoints about some Canadian Human Right Defenders. It is their first time using Powerpoint. Although these students are little (and it shows in their work), yet what they have learnt and produced is big!</p>

It was wonderful to see them maneuvering around the complex software to create meaningful, appealing animations. They then gave a tour through the system with screencasting programs &#8211; [...]]]></description>
				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our Grade 5 students learnt about the Digestive System in a really neat way this year. They used Google Sketchup to create 3-D animations of the system. It was wonderful to see them maneuvering around the complex software to create meaningful, appealing animations. They then gave a tour through the system with screencasting programs &#8211; some liked ScreenR while most preferred Jing. On the side they were engaged in purposeful conversations about the topic using an online discussion forum &#8211; Pepper. It was amazing to see how technology can transform teaching and learning in some cool ways.</p>
